Firefox 10 Available via Official Repositories, all Ubuntus

Firefox 10 was released just a few days back. The major changes in this new version include:
  • All add-ons are now considered to be compatible by default, even if they are not marked as such
  • The forward button is now hidden until you navigate back
  • Anti-Aliasing for WebGL is now implemented
  • CSS3 3D-Transforms are now supported
  • Numerous bugs were also fixed, a list of which can be found here
The complete changelog can be found here:

As far as Ubuntu and Firefox are concerned, as announced a couple of weeks ago, all Ubuntu versions - including Lucid and Maverick - would feature the same latest version of Firefox, which would be made available via the official repositories, and Firefox 10 is already available via the Update Manager to all Ubuntu users:

For installing Firefox 10 in any version of Ubuntu, you now simply need to install the available updates via the Update Manager, or from the Terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

That's all!
