Magazines and eBooks to Land in Ubuntu Software Center for Purchase

Canonical has just announced partnerships with Pearson Technologies and Linux New Media, to add eBooks and Magazines for purchase through the Ubuntu Software Center. With these partnerships, Ubuntu users will be able to purchase this media in highly visual PDFs and download it to their computers or e-readers.

'The Official Ubuntu Book', 'Ubuntu Unleashed: 2011 Edition' and 'The Official Ubuntu Server Book' have already been added to the Ubuntu Software Center, whereas magazines such as 'Ubuntu User', 'Linux Magazine', 'Smart Developer', 'ADMIN' and others might be available soon from $6.99.
