Install Racing Simulation Game, Speed Dreams in Ubuntu

Speed Dreams is a fork of the famous open racing car simulator TORCS, aiming to implement exciting new features, cars, tracks and AI opponents to make a more enjoyable game for the player, as well as constantly improving visual and physics realism. Still under development, you can install alpha 3 from the testing PPA below and keep upgrading to get the stable when it is out.

Installation

You need to execute the following commands from Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:speed-dreams/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install speed-dreams

Execution

In most cases, Speed Dreams doesn't work from the Unity Dash or the Games sub-menu in Gnome. You need to right click the desktop and create a new Launcher with this command.

/usr/games/speed-dreams-2
